We have been blessed with a unique opportunity to minister to the men and women that drive trucks all across the country. As a driver myself, I understand the daily struggles drivers face. Loneliness and depression are just an example of the battles they fight on a daily basis. Much like a traveling chaplain, I have the opportunity to speak with them all over the country. We often pray with them, share scripture, and literature targeted to help them. It is amazing what just a few words of encouragement can do. This also often leads to an opportunity to share the love of God through the gospel. Suicide is a major danger in this line of work. In the last few months, we have been able to help multiple drivers get help, and resources to combat this threat. Our greatest needs are prayers, and resources for these men and women. The latest numbers I have heard from the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) is that there are approximately four million truck drivers currently on the roads. Please pray God continues to give us opportunities to be a help, and a blessing to these men and women.
